When it comes to planning for your future, having a solid financial plan that’s tailored to your needs and goals should be one of your top priorities. However, financial planning might sound like something only the rich can afford, yet most of us do some sort of financial planning already. The key to successful planning is simply creating an ongoing process that will reduce your stress about money, support your current needs, and build a nest egg for retirement.
Life is a journey full of unexpected twists and turns. Having someone like a CPA financial planner who is regulated and can answer financial questions about things that you may find confusing or anxiety-provoking is a real benefit. When markets go through periodic downturns, or tax concerns surface, having a trusted advisor you can turn to will reduce stress and help you make sense of things.
We understand that making the jump into the world of financial planning can seem intimidating. But we are here to help take the angst out of that process so you can feel confident about your choices and future all while focusing on what matters most to you in life.
When it comes to selecting a financial planner one of your top concerns will be their fee structure. Some financial professionals charge an hourly rate, some work off commissions, and others use a combination of hourly fees and commissions to compensate for their services. All of these options are valid but sometimes they may not work best for your situation.
At FS Financial we strive to meet your needs through a fair and balanced hybrid fiduciary fee-only structure. This means we take no commissions and are better able to recommend the best products and refer you to the best experts without creating any conflict of interest.
At FSA we work with you to develop a holistic, integrated financial plan tailored to you, focusing on a wide variety of financial needs, such as budgeting and cash flow planning, education planning, estate planning, retirement planning, etc. We work alongside you to help prepare a plan to achieve your financial life goals and have peace of mind.
The cost for building an initial financial strategy ranges from $1,500 to $10,000 depending on the complexity of your needs. Based on your financial plan, we will structure your portfolio tailored to your specific goals. Additionally, we provide monitoring/implementation, and reviews as life changes occur and bill quarterly for these services at $300 – $500 per quarter, again, depending on the complexity of your situation.
For the investment advisory services, we provide, our fees are based on a percentage of the assets we manage on behalf. This way your costs will scale in direct proportion to your wealth accumulation. Our maximum fees are detailed below but may be negotiable under appropriate circumstances.
|Assets Under Management||Maximum Annual Fee|
|$0 to $500,000||1%|
|$500,000 to $1,000,000||0.9%|
|$1,000,001 to $1,500,000||0.75%|
|$1,500,001 to $2,000,000||0.50%|
Example: A client that entrusts $1,000,000 of assets to us, will pay an annual fee of $9,500. This fee is calculated as follows: $5,000 (1%) on the first $500,000 of assets and $4,500 (0.9%) on the next $500,000 of assets.
We do not have asset minimums, however, for clients that place $1,000,000 or more with us, we include services such as annual tax preparation/planning and an initial financial plan, at no additional cost.
For clients who need professional help with a particular issue, we offer hourly planning services targeted to address that specific concern. We believe that everyone should have access to professional advice regardless of total asset accumulation. The estimated fee, as well as the actual fee, is based upon the scope and complexity of your needs. Our hourly fees are $350 per hour.
